Donate to Heifer Intl

The two main goals of this ride are to raise $15,000 for Heifer International and to finish the ride.

Any donation amount will gladly be accepted.

Existing Heifer projects in Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia are focusing on reintroducing indigenous livestock—alpacas and llamas—and training farmers in terrace farming and sustainable agricultural practices. Additionally, they are providing women with equal access to resources, training animal health care workers, and improving health through new cooking stoves that vent smoke from the home. Please review the Heifer 2005 Project Profiles online (PDF file) to learn more.

It’s difficult for me to ask for money for other people, but I will need assistance to complete this fundraising ride.

Major expenses include health insurance, rent, suitable bike, and transportation to and from South America, and of course a per diem. This amounts to almost $32,000 although some things may be omitted or changed.
